We are moving for military training to an area that Alltel doesn't offer service. Alltel says we have to pay them a $600.00 cancellation fee or continue using their service. We would continue using the service IF there was service there. They said it is illegal to let us out of the contract early. It wasn't illegal for AT&T to release us from the contract 3 years ago when we moved for training.

I told them that I was recording the conversation, the "man" I was talking to refused to speak to me unless I stopped recording. THEY are allowed to record us for "quality assurance". Yeah, right!

The representative believes it is our fault for moving to an area that does not have their service. Therefore, we must pay.

There service is questionable even when we are near a tower. The customer service representatives are rude and not helpful.

I will go to a land line before I will ever use Alltel, again.
